Jack Wingate is a filmmaker born in Tallahassee, Florida, and now lives between Brooklyn and Berlin. Wingate was selected as a 2021 Parlamentarisches Patenschafts-Programm Fellow in Germany.
As a Director he has made short documentaries for FAMU-FSU School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and ARTE's Tracks East. His work has received support from Stiftung für Kulturelle Weiterbildung und Kulturberatung and Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt . His films have screened internationally at Big Apple Film Festival, Serbest International Film Festival, Between Bridges Berlin, and a Finalist at New York Short Film Festival.
As a Producer, his films have been pitched at Hot Docs Forum and DOC NYC Pitch Day. His films have screened at DC/DOX, Sheffield Doc Fest, and True/False Film Festival.
